Street Art in JLT

The things you unearth while cleaning your hard drive.

These photos were last year when we were living in Jumeirah Lakes Towers. In support of Dubai’s thriving art scene, Spanish street artist Ruben Sanchez was commissioned to paint a large abstract mural, which took five days to complete. Koko was there to witness the work in progress every single day. We would stop by in the afternoon to watch in awe as one of the city’s largest street art creation came to life.

Side note: Koko’s given name (no, it’s not Fighter, haha!) is a homage to a renowned French graffiti artist. Only time will tell if it’s fitting or not, but she certainly does look the part.
